Yesterday, I had to lift my school bag (not very heavy, only a couple of books), my sports bag (Sport uniform, shoes, water and a towel), my electric guitar ( 6kg, 13 pounds) and my amplifier (7kg, 15 pounds) and it weigh in total aprox. 17kg. I am 13 years old and I am 5'6 and i weigh 57kg. I had to carry all those things during school time, in total, there is 8 hours of school time, 45 per lesson and 3 minutes to walk from class to class. In total i had to carry these things about 100 meters (328 feet). i had swimming the last classes.
My question is:
Can u stunt ur growth, shrink a bit, or damage a growth plate or cause scoliosis?
Can this have damaged, broken or block my growth plates?
Will i continue growing?
I do sports a lot and i had swimming to relax after. Today, i didn't feel any pain. and i did not have scoliosis. What do u think?
Can this have an affect on me?
Didn't you get enough answers yesterday when you posted this same question?
Reply:Hi there. Your growth will continue as usual. The problem found with all this weight you are carrying around is that of chronic back pain due to over stressed vertebral discs in your back at a young age. This actually has been proven. It seems that the school system here in the US continues to ignore this problem. Perhaps, you can use a portable luggage rack that can be towed more easily. Things will be fine. It just takes alteration in the carrying process. Have a great week.
Reply:No problems you will be fine, you are and fit healthy young man so this will not trouble you in any way
