Advertising/sponsors in mma, why is it different than all other sports?

for example in the ufc, fighters shorts have multiple logos of different sponsors on them, they have shirts advertising other companies, then when they win they thank like 5 more different companies, they turn out to be a walking billboard for thier sponsors. this doesnot happen in the nfl, nba, or even golf. (there is of course some sponsorships, like commericals, shoes, cereal boxes, but when kobe makes a game winning shot he doesnt spend 35 secs thanking xenergy). why the extreme advertising for mma?

Because in all those other sports, even the lowest level players make about 600k a year. Golfers on the other hand DO have alot of sponsorships on them, they're just not as apparent.

Alot of MMA fighters can't make a good living off of pay alone, so they have to pick up the sponsors to make up for it. Give it another couple years and there'll be less and less.
Reply:ever watched nascar? not that I really consider it a sport but seriously the advertising in MMA is nothing by comparison. the reason as has already been said is that they don't make much money, most of them need to work a second job to pay for their training and just to eat, many of them probably get more money from what they put on their shorts than what they get paid by the orginization they are fighting for. And the talks after the fight are the only airtime they get, I'm sure they get paid for that too.
Reply:Sports leagues like MLB, NFL, and NBA have strict uniform regulations that force them to be made by a specific company with no logos other than the league, the team, and the company that made that part of the uniform.
