I've been running now for several months. I run about 2-3 miles 3 times per week. After all of my runs once my body cools off I have joint pain in my left hip and right ankle. The pain subsides within a day or two and does not affect my run, however it's after and in between that it's uncomfortable. What am I doing wrong or what could it be? It affects me the most when I've been sitting for a while, or sleeping and I get up to walk. I feel like an old lady and I'm only 36. Any ideas or advice? I don't have health insurance so I have not been to the doctor. I have good running shoes, I think. They are Saucony - Grid Centurgy and I bought them at the beginning of summer. I wear an ankle support when I run too. Please advise. Thanks
Experienced runners or sports medicine specialists????
What I would suggest is ask a athletic trainer. There is one at this site who work in sports training and might be able to answer your question.Good luck.

Reply:why not slow down a little and see what happens maybe you are forcing yourself try
*slowing down
go to the pharmacy and look for something for that kind of pain or ask the people who work there what would be a good thing for you.
and well congratolations on trying to keep youre body good i mean dont worry about the first comment not just because you are 36 means you should be slower its just that maybe you are trying to do it to fast not that you are old or anything not at all old is 80 r 90 yeah you are young
well take care of youreself and well nt much i can tell you than just slowing down and getting pills for the pain or maybe to cure it if nothing works i would suggest to try to go to the doctor well keep safe !!!!!!!!!
Reply:It could be your running shoes. I have the same problem when mine need replaced. I have also just been fitted in the wrong pair. I always try and go to a running store to buy any running shoes, as they will be able to determine what type you need.
Reply:You might be having some early signs of arthritis. Don't be so hard on your body, you are 36, not 26. Get an elliptical, it's easier on your joints.
Oh and stay hydrated if you aren't already.
