Grandparents 50th anniversary, should i wear a sports coat?

im going to my grandparents 50th anniversary and my parents said to dress nice, im 16, should i wear a dress coat/jacket/sportscoat?





i'd much rather just wear dress shirt with tie and slacks and dress shoes+belt.





what do you think is more appropriate? thanks!!

Why not? It's only one night and there is nothing that warms a grandparent's heart more than seeing their "little man" all grown up and looking "so handsome".





If nothing else, just wear it to the party, you can always take it off after being there awhile. Just say that you're getting a little warm. :)

Reply:you should ofcourse not wear the jacket and wear your dress shirt with your tie its there 50th anniversary and if their like most grand parents they would like the dress shirt with the jacket
Reply:You should wear the sports coat with dress shirt and tie. It will make your grandparents happy to see that you dressed up for them. If when you get there you see that the majority of people are not wearing coats, you can take yours off. It's always better to go with jacket and be prepared as you can take it off there if it's unnecessary.
