i only in the sun during cheer and track practice. i wear the same things at both. shorts tennis shoes sports bra and tank top. it has been this way for 4 years. my sister is getting married in cancun in 2 weeks and then i am moving to maui in a few months. i really need to get ride of the lines what do i do?
Horrible tan lines!!! i need a quick fix.?
you can either go tanning
or for track and cheer, wear different things so that the tanlines aren't going to stay there. they will blend in
makeup. foundation works great. not liquid. powder.
Reply:OK SO .... i have the perfect trick for strap tan lines... seriously this works perfectly for a dress at the wedding. Buy Benefit Hoola and just lightly brush it on where the straps go
http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/gp/produ...
the brush is shaped like a line so its super easy
as for the rest fo the trip, I wouldnt worry about neing in a bathing suit or anything, you are just going to look like a tourist... no harm in that
have fun! Hawaii is awesome
Reply:It would only help a bit........
Spray on tanning.
Go to your professional tanning salon or spa (that offers it).
They should exfoliate your body first. Exfoliating will open your pores and make it so that the spray on tan will do its job.
Then they should have a heater or fans to help dry you, so you don't have drip lines.
Until your sister's big day, be careful when you shower or hop into the pool. Spray on tanning will come off.
Reply:Go to the tanning bed.. or get a spray tan.. or get a bottle of the fast tan and just put it in the spots that aren't tan.
Reply:You can exfoliate all over, it may help to remove the tanned skin cells. Or just apply fake tan to the untanned areas.
Reply:you can either tan, get a fake tan, or cover your tan lines with makeup
Reply:Well, theres not enough time to do the track without the top, so....
Try combining the three.
Exfoliate as suggested. A depilatory cream like Nair or Veet is a good shortcut. Use gloves, get a friend to help. Do an underarm test first in case you are allergic. See the box for details. Put on all over except sensitive areas (NOT face!) and hairier areas (unless you want that to go as well, which for tanning is not a bad idea, but that complicates life) fairly thick 1/8th inch layer. Do it next to the shower in the buff standing on newspaper so it needs to be a very good friend. Keep clothes clear, it can make holes in T-shirts. Leave for the time recommended. Shower off using lots of water, like LOTS, and a soft sponge. (if your skin is tough you can use a pot scourer sponge, gently).
Now you're down to fresh skin, do a course at a good local sun-bed (or stand-up cubical if you want the all-over). If your face is already tanned then just cover it with a towel. Move the towel up and down the neck some to avoid a line. Say 3 times a week for the next 2 weeks. If in doubt go gently at first as any burnt or flaking skin due to overstaying will not look good.
A good moisturizing cream (no perfume) after a shower will prevent the skin from drying and keep the "blush" even. Nivea Q10 body cream is good.
Finish off with a fake tan a couple of days before you leave. Exfoliate again before. No body/face cream or make up, the tan won't take. Tell the operator you did that or she might recommend exfoliation.
And take a bottle tan, rubber gloves, and old towel for touch up.
Thats a fairly light schedule, should do the job nicely, and there's not much that can go wrong. Don't expect perfection, but with a bit of luck and if you tan easily......
Enjoy the trip!
